The Jachl Farm Project
Our mission is to live as eco friendly and sustainably as possible. We want to achieve this by purchasing land, building a house using only materials on the land, growing and producing our own food and living completely off the grid. Eventually we want to take our little starter farm and turn it into a eco village. A village where like minded individuals with a common goal can help create a more sustainable future. We want to show others that this lifestyle is not what they think it is. It is accessible for anyone and you can live comfortably with the same amenities as any modern home. If you would like to support us check out our YouTube or Twitch channel (links in the menu) or you can push the yellow donate button at the top of the page. In the future we will be creating a members area where you can get bonus content and other perks.
We are moving further and further from nature. Using less and less materials found in our local environment. Our mission is to build using just the materials on our own land. Using fallen timber, recycled products and cob building techniques.
Covid has shown that our reliance on others to provide us with food is risky. It's also proven to be bad for the environment. All the farm equipment, the destructive nature of farming and sucking all the nutrients out of the soil without giving back. Our goal is to grow and produce as much of our own food as possible and reduce our carbon footprint as much as possible.
Off the grid
Renewable energy is more affordable and more obtainable than ever before. So much so that it is quickly becoming cheaper per kwH than fossil fuels. We want to cut our reliance on other people and companies by supplying our own electricity and our own water.
Strong Community and better resorces
All of this is for nothing if we don't build a community and learn from one another. We want to build a database of resources that our easily accessible by everyone. Our wish for this community is for people to help each other. Ask questions, get clarity on areas of eco living that are not clear. Things like, "What is a rocket mass heater?", "How do I make Cob?", "How do I know what equipment to buy to run everything off renewable energy?".
